Pernilla Rydmark

Ms Pernilla Rydmark, BSc, is the manager of the Internet fund at .SE (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation). Through the Internet Fund, .SE supports independent projects aimed at the development of the Internet by various means. Previously, she worked at VINNOVA managing programmes for R&D funding, within IT implementation as Everyday IT and Living Labs. She was a student at Sweden University at the program Multimedia: pedagogy -technology.

 


Greg Vanourek

Gregg Vanourek is an author and expert in the fields of leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development. He has co-authored two books (including LIFE Entrepreneurs), with a new one in the works. He serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Royal Institute of Technology as part of the Sweden School of Entrepreneurship consortium and Teaching Mentor with Metizo. Recently, he was Adjunct Faculty for the Euromed School of Management, the University of Denver, and Colorado Mountain College. Vanourek founded Far Horizon and co-founded New Mountain Ventures. Before that, he served as SVP at K12 Inc., VP at the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation, and Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute. Vanourek is a featured speaker in the U.S. and Europe. Vanourek holds an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management, M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.

 


Klaus Hahn

Klaus Hahn is one of the founding partners of Volontaire, a creative agency focusing on solving real business problems, not just advertising briefs, where he serves as Business Director. He has also been a co-founder of a click and mortar retail business for children products and ran its retail store for three years. During the internet era, he owned a strategic consultancy focused on the marketing of start-ups and later worked as partner in a small Swedish creative hotshop developing and executing global creative projects for clients such as Absolut Vodka and adidas.
Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Klaus, spent 3 years as Regional Account Managing Director at Hall & Cederquist/Young & Rubicam Advertising in Sweden, amongst others in charge of Ericsson’s first global consumer campaign. Before, he spent 11 years in client services at Leo Burnett Advertising in Toronto, Canada as SVP, in Sweden, Sweden as MD and in Frankfurt, Germany.

Peder Jonsson

Peder Jonsson, Senior Partner Kreab Gavin Anderson, is a senior counsellor working with strategies and implementation of communications issues in the cross section of policy making and regulations, market and technology. He handles complex contexts and messages as they require investigations, in depth analysis and knowledge transfer.

Since joining Kreab Gavin Anderson in 1980, he has worked with almost all types of industries with a focus on ICT, energy-environment-clean tech and medicine technology-health.

Member of the ICT committee in the International Chamber of Commerce, ICC. Chairman of ICT committee in Sweden Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the association ELMA (Experience and Learnings from environmental issues) Chairman of Tie Nordic, chapter of TiE Global non-profit organization fostering entrepreneurship globally.

Peder Jonsson holds a M.Sc. in Physics with majors in theoretical physics and computer science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, KTH. He is also Research Leader and lecturer at KTH, Department of Industrial Management.

 


Semida Silveira

Semida Silveira is Professor in Energy and Environmental Technology at KTH. She has a PhD in Regional Planning from KTH, with focus on development and sustainability. Previously, Prof. Silveira worked as sustainability expert at the Swedish Energy Agency, and as energy and climate program manager at the Sweden Environment Institute. Her most recent activities include bioenergy and climate change policy work, promotion of Swedish knowledge and technologies in development assistance, and international business cooperation with corporate responsibility. Prof. Silveira won the Jaboti Literature Prize 2001 in Brazil in the category physical sciences, technology and informatics for her book Electricity for Sustainable Development, published in Portuguese. She is also the author of various articles and books including an anthology of the Swedish energy development, Building sustainable energy systems – Swedish experiences, and her last book Bioenergy – realizing the potential. She has done research at MIT, IIASA and University of Tübingen, and advises in various committees and companies. She has developed and managed projects in collaboration with academics, development banks, policy makers and the private sector in both industrialized and developing countries.

 


Peter Roland

Peter Roland is the Managing Director for the newly started GoodCause Ideas, a developing company for the GoodCause Foundation. GoodCause is a Swedish foundation that owns GodEl and GodFond. The aim of the Foundation GoodCause is to launch and run companies with the common denominator that all the dividend forward to charity, ie there is no private profit with in the companise. This concept is made possible by donations to GoodCause. GodEl which has been in business for six years, has already donated 13.7 million SEK and GodFond which has existed for two years, has donated 700 000 SEK. Peter started at GodEl when it had 800 customers and has been apart of the growth to the nearly 100,000 customers which the company has today. The latest three years, he was the Managing Director at GodEl. The objective of his new position at GoodCause Ideas is to help the companies, which already exists, to move towards their visions but also launch new God-concept. Peter has a master in business from Uppsala University and has also studied in USA and in New Zealand.

Peter Helle

Peter Helle is a lawyer and partner at Wistrand Law Firm. He was admitted to the Swedish Bar/Law Society in 1996 and is now mainly focusing on financing and IT & Technology law. Peter Helle has extensive experience representing clients before courts and in contract negotiations. He is also very engaged in entrepreneurial issues and is the author of several books and publications on entrepreneurship and venture capital, i.e. Business angels: investing in growth.

 


Niclas Thorselius

Communication officer for The Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis, a new government agency responsible to the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Former Press officer of New Karolinska Solna, one of the largest and most innovative healthcare projects worldwide. The new university hospital shall contribute to the goal of the Sweden region as a world-leader in life sciences, home of more than 60% of Sweden’s life sciences industry and six universities. Niclas has also been working as Press Secretary to the Minister of Elderly Care and Public Health Maria Larsson, Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, The Government of Sweden.

 


Sjoerd Haasl

Sjoerd Haasl is a coordinator at the Center for Technology in Medicine and Health (CTMH), which is owned in equal parts by the Royal Institute of Technology, the Karolinska Institute and the Sweden City Council. He earned his electrical engineering degree magna cum laude at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and his PhD in microsystem technology at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. After completing his formal studies, he joined the Gothenburg-based research institute Imego in 2004, starting out as a research scientist then moving on to become a business area manager for the inertial sensing platform. During his time at Imego, he worked closely with several startup companies, such as the Gothenburg-based companies, Minesto and Tibria. In October 2010, he joined the 8-month clinical innovation fellowship program at CTMH, in a three-person interdisciplinary team that worked on innovation in health care according to the Stanford BioDesign method. He is presently a Project Manager at CTMH. He is involved in several early-stage enterprises. Sjoerd shares two patents of which one is being developed by the Sweden-based startup MyFC, which sells products based on a micro-fuel cell technology.
